How and when would the terror menace in Pakistan stop?

One of the biggest challenge for India is the constant terror intrusion in a variety of forms from the Western borders. The latest one being pumping in fake Indian currency notes in huge quantities into India.

At various levels, India shared with the US that Pakistan diverts the military and financial aids into terrorist practices against India. The US obviously has had its own interest in sponsoring Pakistan, the damages of this sponsorship may be far less than the benefits that the US may have got out its policies.

The issue is that India has only two choices - use military regime to kill this menace forever. I do not see that happening considering the price may be too heavy for India. It would further aggravate Pakistan into rationalising its fight against India. Alternatively, using the global relations to curb this. Again, not a likely possibility. For any country that does lobby behind India, there would be a huge price that may not be the right give away for India.

Is there a solution? Would be remain silent spectators to the Pakistani stageshow?

The best solution is for India and Pakistan to promote trade with one another. They will improve both of their economies, and reduce the ongoing animosity. People must keep the level of actual animosity in perspective. It is relatively minor in the greater scheme of things. By whipping up the animosities all the time, India and Pakistan just make it looklike the hostilities are necessary.

I recall that years ago, when Beirut was apparently melting down due to Lebanon's civil war, the amount of violence was actually less than that in Washington, DC. But the media kept the civil war going for years!

I quite agree and appreciate your viewpoint. That would however take honest and purposeful initiatives from both sides. Just break the border and set free. Having said that, however, how does one get the Pakistani administration to prevent terrorist activities? You cannot counter the continuous attempts of the Pakistani administration to pump in fake Indian currencies, arms and terrorist groups through Nepal and other routes. Kashmir and everything else is solvable. That is the big challenge. I really do not see how the Indian Government can negotiate this.
