Will let you know how it goes. I just read an article in The Journal of Vascular Surgery, Education in Vascular Surgery: Critical issues in India. There are only 7 centers training in vascular surgery graduating 12 students a year. This is in a country that has more diabetics than anywhere else in the world. Just hard to fathom given the population.
I can't guess why medicine is practiced in English other than the lack of medically trained manpower requires they rely on Western trained personnel.
