I am about to embark on a trip to Vellore to teach in the healthcare field. I am fascinated to study a culture which appears based on my readings to be developing as an industrial country but still faces many cultural barriers when it comes to delivering appropriate services to it's own people. Through my research I see many of the major healthcare delivery companies waiting in the wings as to whether India will be as strong a healthcare consumer as US or Europe. Am excited to see it in action.

Many thanks for joining our discussion. I have been involved with healthcare services vis-a-vis India since 1994. I was the first mover in the Indian Medical Transcription Industry. The company I founded now has 38 production centers in India, and about 5,800 employees.
I look forward to hearing your experiences after your trip to India.
I am also very involved with healthcare in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where it is little known that all medicine is practiced in English. I'll tell you why, if you're interested.
Best regards, Skip
