Michael Southworth,MD,FACS Health industry India

I am about to embark on a trip to Vellore to teach in the healthcare field. I am fascinated to study a culture which appears based on my readings to be developing as an industrial country but still faces many cultural barriers when it comes to delivering appropriate services to it's own people. Through my research I see many of the major healthcare delivery companies waiting in the wings as to whether India will be as strong a healthcare consumer as US or Europe. Until that time, I intend to continue to serve as a catalyst. Best regards, Skip Continue

Donald ("Skip") Conover India's Poor Performance Compared to China

Let’s face it; I will never be Indian! Nonetheless, over the past 15 years I have come to love the country and its people. In the process, I have created an industry, and served as a catalyst for many innovations sorely needed. It is in the spirit of my role as catalyst, that I decided to create the “Developing India” social network. I had thought about proposing to write a column for Indian newspapers, and might still do that, but I decided that I first need to demonstrate the quality of my th… Continue
